This tale is about a young man's heart,
Whose inner conflict has torn him apart,
He's clean cut, uncluttered, and tall and thin,
His embrace is so breathtaking it feels like a sin,
His piercing gentle eyes colored a deep blue,
Reveals his unguarded side I always knew,
His pain turned to rage fading his soul,
His guard was put up, never again whole,
He started with words, but push came to shove,
He was so far gone; you couldn't see his love,
It was hard to say goodbye to the laughs and the cries,
The memories, the friendship that no longer lies,
I take a deep breath in and shove it down my throat,
All I have left of him are these words I wrote,
I have no more faith in us, what we were,
I'm moving on you've become nothing but a blur,
I still think of your happiness because I still care,
Every night I keep you in my prayer,
I know you think your life is useless with everything it brings,
But I hope God lifts you from your sorrow and gives you angel wings.
