THE FLY
I TRIED TO SWAT IT WITH TWO OR THREE BLOWS.
NATURALLY I MISSED, A BAD CHOICE INDEED,
THATS WHEN MY NOSE STARTED TO BLEED.
IT BUZZED AROUND AND AROUND ME BUZZING MY HEAD,
THIS TIME IT LANDED ON MY RIGHT EYE INSTEAD.
I SWUNG AGAIN AND AGAIN, AGAIN MY AIM WAS
NOT TRUE,
THATS WHEN MY RIGHT EYE BECAME BLACK AND BLUE.
THIS LITTLE FLY BASTARD WAS AN ESCAPE ARTIST
INDEED,
BUT NO MATTER WHAT HE WAS MY NOSE CONTINUED
TO BLEED.
I COULD SAY THAT THE PAIN I WAS FEELING
WAS A PAIN IN MY ASS,
BUT THE PAIN I WAS FEELING WAS FAR FROM MY ASS.
AFTER A WHILE THE LITTLE BASTARD COME BACK TO
TORMENT ME SOME MORE,
THIS TIME THE LITTLE FLY LANDED SQUARE ON
MY JAW.
IF YOU'RE LISTENING TO MY STORY AND WANT
TO HERE MORE.
A COUPLE MORE SWATS AND EVERY THING
TURNED BLACK.
THAT'S WHEN I FOUND MYSELF FLAT ON MY BACK.
