OLD AGE
BEEN THERE.
I'VE ALREADY HAD MY SHARE OF THET KIND
OF MISERY AND WEAR.
I'VE ALREADY BEEN DOWN THAT ROAD OF PAIN
MISERY AND STRIFE.
I'VE BEN THAT ROAD FOR THE BETTER PART
OF MY LIFE.
PAIN AND MISERY HAVE NEVER BEEN STRANGERS
TO ME.
IT CRIPLED AND BROKE ME AS YOU CAN PLAINLY
SEE.
IT REWARDED ME WITH CRUTCHES AND A CROCKED
OLD CANE.
AND BEMEDALED MY BODY WITH ALL KINDS OF
SCARS AND PAIN.
MISERY AND PAIN HAVE BEEN MY PARTNERS IN
LIFE.
WE SHARED IT TOGETHER AND IT STABBED LIKE
A KNIFE.
NOW I'M WONDERING IF I WILL EVER LIVE TO
SEE.
THE DAY THAT MY PROBLEMS AND PAIN DECIDE
TO GET UP AND LEAVE ME.
