My Sister's Wedding
She stood there shy.
It was one of those nights
Where she had to bid goodbye.
She had myriad feelings
Of excitement, separation and love.
It was the time she had to leave
And move ahead with her new kins.
It was difficult for her
I could see,
To leave things behind
And start anew with a wee.
I saw her going weak
And then I saw him stand by her
Like a pillar that would never let her fall.
He promised her happiness
He promised her smile.
He promised he would never leave her
Till death puts them apart.
He was assuring,
And I felt relieved.
It was a day I would never forget,
It was the day my sister got married!
