I WISH
I wish I could fall in love but my heart is an independent candidate,
I wish I could stop the time but the stars and the moon wouldn't hold their breath,
I wish baby Africa was grown but her guardians lack Altruism,
I wish I knew the answers to everything but the walls only have ears,
I wish students were not already hypnotized into believing that they need a Ph.D to be great, but the majority are already traditionalists,
I wish everyone was super wealthy, but if that be the case, who will be the servants?
I wish I could skip the vicissitudes of life, but a journey of a thousand miles they say, starts with a single step,
I wish Eve had not taken the Apple but retrospect is not retroactive,
Oh! How I Wish.
