I am a human being after all
Yes, I am
not beaten
nor dragged down
But I am a person
Not willing to be
pushed,
slapped,
spat on,
Yes I am a person
not to be yelled at
certainly not a punch bag
I am Yes I am a human being
Yes I deserve some respect
I asked God to make it stop.?
He answered me in a different way.
I begged him to give me an answer
He told me to stick it out..
I told God that this wasn't the answer.
I just knew in my heart I needed to run
fast, far away from this early grave
He said daughter, I know you are hurting, and their is no excuse for these
beatings. But there is a time for everything I watched and waited
I carried you through these bad times.
I wanted you to wait for the right time
So that i could carry you safely in my arms.
You are my princess and bride.
When i gaze into your eyes
I made you and you are a part of me..
"Give me all your tears." and I will wipe
them away.
Come now please do not fret
For I will be your husband
Forget the past press on and don't
you ever quit....
