Embarrassing Moments
some actions done and wrong words said
for I was not even drinking
just moments bereft of thinking
At the time it seemed right
but has now turned to blight
for it comes back to haunt
In lingering thoughts that taunt
All tied to an invisible chain
alive and stuck here in my brain
How can I erase it from my mind
for they are mostly unkind
When will it stop, when will it end
or is this to teach me my ways to mend
forced to consider what I do or utter
to enjoy life like a knife through butter
