The Walk of Life
Down the road of life;
I was met by frustration-
Sorrow and strife.
I ran into loneliness,
And saw it's need;
To be loved and wanted,
Such a sad plead.
I talked with heartache,
About love gone bad;
To see it's pain,
Left me sad.
And there was evil,
So cold and mean;
It's violent intent,
Was clear to be seen.
But finally came kindness,
So warm and dear;
Never asking for anything,
Unconditionally clear.
And last there was love,
So warm and true;
A gift from God-
To me and you!
