Saying Good-bye
For this valley has been a struggle of mine,
But I know I'll be okay, and the pain will heal,
As from strength to strength I do climb.
Yes, nearly a year since I realized
That you didn't want to be my friend.
Though I should have noticed it long before,
By the patterns that started to trend.
Your actions spoke louder than your words,
As our friendship fell to the ground.
And when we had finally confronted,
You denied and did not turn around.
Farewell old friend, I bid no ill will,
For our friendship did teach many lessons.
And I hope that you will be happy,
And that my pain continues to lessen...
